  Nicolas Winding Refn (born September 29, 1970) is a Danish filmmaker. Winding Refn went to the United States in 1981 and was educated at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1993. He is famous for directing the Pusher trilogy.[1] His upcoming film Drive is scheduled to premiere In Competition at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.[2] Winding Refn is married to actress Liv Corfixen, with whom he has one child, and is the half-brother of Danish singer Kasper Winding.
