Life, Above All

This outstanding, extremely, moving film is full of power and anger as 12 year old Chanda takes on the forces of superstition in a post-Apartheid South Africa. Illness in the family creates tensions in the township and in a country still split into the haves and the have-nothings. A fitting precursor to World AIDS Day.
