The Grinch

Inside a snowflake, like the one on your sleeve, there happened a story you must see to believe.

There once was a man who was called Dr Seuss,

Who wrote books for children in rhyme.

He once wrote a story, the tale of the Grinch

Who was miserable at Christmastime.

Many years later a director called Ron

Joined up with the actor Jim Carrey.

Together they created a film of the Grinch

To retell that Dr Seuss story.

The Grinch was a man, oh so totally green

He resembled a human sized pea (sorry – it rhymed!)

His heart was so small that he hated the season

When people were glad and happy.

He lived in a cave, high high up on a hill,

Where he hides from the rest of the town.

Angry at Whoville, the town where he lives

He steals all their gifts with a frown.

There then was a girl called Cindy Lou Who

Who tried to make him happy and smile.

But the Grinch was put off when the rest of the town

Just laughed at him, which he thought was vile.

Can the spirit of Christmas, the songs that they sing

Save the Grinch from a miserable fate

You'll have to come along and pay a pound to UF

And find out, before it's too late!!!
