Jane Eyre

A British romantic drama film, based on the 1847 novel of the same name by Charlotte Brontë. After a bleak childhood in which she is both emotionally and physically abused by her aunt and cousins, Jane Eyre goes out into the world to become a governess. While living happily at Thornfield Hall, she meets the dark, cold, and abrupt master of the house, Mr. Rochester. Jane and her employer grow close in friendship and she soon finds herself falling in love with him. Jane seems to have found happiness at last, but could Mr. Rochester's terrible secret be about to destroy it forever?
